SEAN KELLY GALLERY

Alchemist collaborated with SEAN KELLY GALLERY to exhibit  two works of art by the Cuban art collective LOS CARPENTEROS (Marco Castillo and Dagoberto Rodriquez). The often humorous installations by Los Carpenteros seem quite whimsical at first but have a deep element of political commentary. The works examine the relationship between art and society.

For the installation SNAKE IN A BOX,  Alchemist featured a corner space dedicated to Givenchy and its creative director Riccardo Tisci. Visionaire’s 60th issue, RELIGION ( edited by Riccardo Tisci) was on display. The original photograph of  THE CONTRACT, a work of art by Marina Abramovic featured in the book, was exhibited at Alchemist in partnership with the SEAN KELLY GALLERY.
